Note1: The sky spectrum cannot be extracted from the sliced fiber image of GAOES-RV. Therefore, observers should take blank sky frames during the night, if they wish to subtract the sky background from their frames of objects. This process is used to decrease S/N ratios in resulting spectra. This GAOES-RV ETC ignores any contributions from sky background.
